A course on Bhagavad-Gita’s karma-yoga teaching (Ch. 1-6) exploring a singular question: How to dynamically engage with the social world while keeping one’s inner world unsullied by its complexities?

Just as the lotus 🪷 grows in mud, but remains immaculate, the lotus mind blossoms even amidst the world’s overwhelming exigencies (bhagavad Gita chapter 5 verse 10)

The tension being explored is how to honor commitments to one’s interiority without spiritual bypassing and proactively address the needs of the outer world without the loss of self. If they’re technically not at odds, the viscerally felt need for one tends to outpace the other often generating an unbalanced and troubled psyche.

Bhagavad-gita’s Karma-yoga is the technique prescribed for the reconciliation of these two equally important domains of life. The Lotus Mind course studies the teaching of the gita for this purpose of reconciliation.
